Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to Kissy Bear.  I’ve had him since I was just a few hours old, way back in July of 1989.  I see nothing in stuffed animals, and I laugh at children that cherish every fluff animal they have ever owned.  But to me, Kissy Bear is different.  I feel safe with him.  Everything will always be okay when he’s with me at night.  He is my cuddle buddy when there is no one to actually cuddle with.  Cold nights are warmer with him.  Awful times seem better when he’s in sight.  If I see him when I’m angry, I feel better and smile.  It’s incredible that I’m crying thinking about how much more I love this silly stuffed animal.  In a way, he and I are a stronger family than my actual family is with myself and each other.

This is what I expect love to be.  If it is anything less, I don’t want it.
